Kye Robichaux, Treshaun Ward and Thomas Castellanos each ran for at least 70 yards. • On top of his 73 rushing yards and a touchdown, Castellanos added 106 yards and two touchdowns through the air to lead the offensive attack. • The Eagles dominated possession in the season opener, holding the ball for 39:09 throughout the game. • Boston College recorded five sacks in the win over Florida State, matching the single-game high throughout the ACC this season. • Duquesne will play three non-conference games against FBS opponents. The Dukes fell at Toledo, 49-10, to open the 2024 season and will travel to Youngstown State on Sept. 14. Duquesne went 7-5 in 2023 with losses at West Virginia and Coastal Carolina.

Conner Harrell replaced Johnson, going 2-for-4 on pass attempts for 34 yards. Harrell played in five games for UNC in 2023, making his first career start in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. • Omarion Hampton recorded 30 carries for the Tar Heels in Week 1, rushing for 129 yards and an average of 4.3 yards per carry. Hampton also led UNC with five catches in the opener, logging 17 receiving yards. • This will be the first-ever meeting between the in-state opponents. Charlotte began its tenure as an FBS school in 2015. • Charlotte lost at home, 30-7, to James Madison to open the season. The 49ers went 3-9 (2-6 American) in 2023, highlighted by an overtime win at Tulsa.

Ward becomes the first Miami QB to throw for more than 300 yards in his first UM start since at least 1979. • Miami climbs seven spots to No. 12 in the AP Poll. It is the highest that Miami has been ranked since the December 6, 2020 poll (No. 9). • The Canes used 529 yards of total offense to down their in-state rivals. In addition to Ward’s 385 passing yards, Miami totaled 144 rushing yards. Damien Martinez led the way with 65 yards on the ground. • FAMU is off to a 2-0 start this season with wins over Norfolk State and South Carolina State. The Rattlers won the 2023 Celebration Bowl after a 12-1 season. FAMU is riding a 23-game winning streak versus non-FBS schools.
