OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Seth Henigan • Sr. • QB • Memphis

Henigan led Memphis to a 53-18 win against UAB as the Tigers picked up their ninth win of the season. Henigan completed 23 of 34 passes for 299 yards and four touchdowns, becoming the only active FBS player to register four seasons with at least 20 touchdown passes at the same school. Henigan also became one of three active FBS quarterbacks to have 100 career touchdown passes, joining Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel and Washington’s Will Rogers.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sam Howard • Jr. • LB • Tulane

Howard had a hand in two key turnovers and led a Tulane defense that limited Navy to 113 total yards and eight first downs in a 35-0 win, clinching a spot in the American Athletic Conference Championship Game. Howard had a first-quarter interception to set up the Green Wave’s first touchdown and he added a fumble recovery on the Navy 20-yard line in the fourth quarter to set up the final touchdown. Howard finished with four tackles and one tackle for loss.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Tate Sandell • So. • K • UTSA

Sandell tied a school record by making four field goals to help UTSA to a 48-27 win against North Texas, keeping the Roadunners unbeaten at home this season and extending their home-field winning streak to nine games. Sandell scored 16 points against the Mean Green as he connected on field goals of 42, 44, 28 and 34 yards and was 4-for-4 on PATs. Sandell has made 13 of 16 field goal attempts since taking over the primary placekicking duties in October.
