OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jalen Kitna • Jr. • QB • UAB

Kitna turned in one of the best performances nationally in leading UAB to a 59-21 win against Tulsa Saturday as he completed 25 of 32 passes for 404 yards and a school-record-tying six touchdowns. Kitna’s 246.1 passer rating was second among FBS players in Week 10, while his six touchdown passes led the nation. He led scoring drives on six of UAB’s first eight possessions, helping the Blazers build a 45-0 lead late in the second quarter.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Martavius French • Sr. • LB •

UTSA French had a game-high 10 tackles to help UTSA to its first win against a top-25 opponent in program history as the Roadrunners topped No. 25 Memphis 44-36 in San Antonio. French added two tackles for loss as the Roadrunners limited the Tigers to 62 rushing yards. French ranks second in The American with 11.5 tackles for loss in 2024.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

UAB Shanks registered 311 all-purpose yards – the most by an NCAA FBS player in a game this season – with four total touchdowns in UAB’s 59-21 win against Tulsa. Shanks averaged 34.8 yards on four punt returns, including a 58-yard touchdown, while he added five receptions for 153 yards and three more TDs. Shanks had 139 yards on punt returns, improving his season average to 25.6 yards per return, which leads the nation.
