The Flames earned their first-ever College Football Playoff ranking (No. 25) on Nov. 21 before win- ning their first Conference USA Championship Game on Dec. 1. Liberty leads the nation in both interceptions (21) and rushing offense (302.9 ypg).

In 26 games under Lanning (21-5), UO has committed just 19 total turnovers with 36 takeaways (+17) and has lost only five fumbles.
