SBC has unveiled SBC Summit Canada as the new identity for its flagship Canadian conference and exhibition, officially retiring the long‑running Canadian Gaming Summit and signaling a major evolution for the event. The newly branded summit will take place 19–21 May 2026.

The rebrand brings the conference into full alignment with SBC’s global portfolio, positioning SBC Summit Canada as a premier platform for industry leaders navigating regulation, market expansion, and commercial strategy across the country’s rapidly maturing gaming landscape.

The event also shifts from its traditional June dates to May, a strategic move designed to avoid the scheduling and resource pressures surrounding the 2026 World Cup and ensure maximum participation from Canada’s gaming ecosystem.

Building on a 28‑year legacy, the former Canadian Gaming Summit has long been the industry’s go‑to forum for regulatory insight, market intelligence, and best‑practice sharing. As SBC Summit Canada, the event enters a new chapter—combining global scale and expertise with a continued, laser‑focused commitment to the unique dynamics of the Canadian market.

A Larger, More Ambitious 2026 Edition

The 2026 summit is expected to draw 3,000 senior executives from Canada’s retail and online casino, sports betting, and iGaming sectors. The three‑day event will feature:

  • 120+ speakers
  • A 50,000+ sq ft exhibition floor
  • World‑class hospitality and networking experiences

“SBC Summit Canada reaffirms our long‑term commitment to the Canadian market with a refreshed event designed to better serve our stakeholders and drive meaningful business opportunities,” said SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark.

Expanded Exhibition & High‑Level Content

More than 75 exhibitors and sponsors will anchor the exhibition floor, including leading suppliers and service providers such as Altenar, Gigadat, MNP, MOBINC, Optimove, and Paramount Commerce.

The conference agenda will span three stages, tackling the forces shaping Canada’s gaming sector in 2026. Topics will include leadership strategy, affiliate and advertising models, cybersecurity, land‑based and lottery operations, payments, compliance, and player protection.

Featured speakers include:

  • Tolek Strukoff, CEO, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment
  • Joseph Hillier, CEO, iGaming Ontario
  • Paul Burns, President & CEO, Canadian Gaming Association
  • Mark Harper, Head of Canada, Rhino Entertainment
  • Tom Metzger, CEO, Lotto.com
  • Scott Vanderwel, CEO, PointsBet Canada

Key discussions will explore Alberta’s regulatory development, opportunities tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the long‑term role of sports betting in a market still dominated by iGaming.

Additional sessions will examine evolving advertising standards, the rise of affiliates and social media, regulatory approaches to emerging products like sweepstakes and prediction markets, and collaborative strategies to strengthen player protection and cybersecurity.

Elevated Networking & Global Integration

SBC Summit Canada will feature two signature evening networking events:

  • Opening Party at RS Sports Bar in Toronto
  • Official Networking Party for senior stakeholders

The rebrand also firmly integrates the event into SBC’s global lineup, which includes:

  • SBC Summit Rio (3–5 March 2026)
  • SBC Summit Malta (28–30 April 2026)
  • SBC Summit Americas (9–11 June 2026)
  • SBC Summit Lisbon (29 September–1 October 2026)
