San Francisco Giants Sign RHP Adrian Houser to Two‑Year Deal With 2028 Club Option

SAN FRANCISCO – The Giants have agreed to a two‑year Major League contract with right‑handed pitcher Adrian Houser, a deal that also includes a club option for the 2028 season.

Houser, 33, is coming off one of the strongest campaigns of his career. He opened the 2025 season in Triple‑A Round Rock (Texas) before signing with the Chicago White Sox on May 20. In 11 starts for Chicago‑AL, he delivered an impressive 2.10 ERA (16 ER in 68.2 IP). He was later traded to Tampa Bay at the deadline and finished the year with the Rays.

Across 21 starts in 2025, Houser posted an 8–5 record, 3.31 ERA (46 ER in 125.0 IP), 92 strikeouts, and a 1.28 WHIP. His 2.3 FanGraphs WAR marked a career high.

A veteran of nine Major League seasons, Houser has made 125 starts in 173 career appearances, compiling a 40–44 record, 4.06 ERA (331 ER in 733.2 IP), 576 strikeouts, and a 1.36 WHIP. His career includes stints with Milwaukee (2015, 2018–23), New York‑NL (2024), Chicago‑AL (2025), and Tampa Bay (2025).

Houser, a native of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, was originally selected by the Houston Astros in the second round of the 2011 MLB Draft out of Locust Grove High School (OK).
