The New Hampshire Lottery has set a new benchmark in sports betting revenue, delivering a record $39 million to public education in Fiscal Year 2025, according to unaudited financial data. This surpasses the previous high of $37 million set in FY 2023 and underscores the state’s continued leadership in the U.S. sports betting market.
During FY 2025, New Hampshire players placed over 27 million wagers, totaling more than $815 million—a nearly 9% year-over-year increase from FY 2024. These gains helped solidify New Hampshire’s position as third in the nation for per capita state revenue from sports betting.
“New Hampshire continues to be the sports betting hub of the Northeast, and we just refuse to stop building on our success,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director of the New Hampshire Lottery. “We’re proud to deliver record funding for public education—supporting students, teachers, and schools across the state is what drives us every day.”
Mobile Betting & Retail Expansion Fuel Growth
Since launching sports betting on December 30, 2019, New Hampshire has seen over 107 million wagers placed, totaling nearly $4 billion in handle. These wagers have generated more than $153 million for public education.
The Super Bowl and March Madness were the top revenue drivers in FY 2025, combining for $27.5 million in wagers. Additionally, November 2024 set a new monthly record for mobile sports betting, with over $75 million wagered, generating $4.5 million in education funding. The surge was fueled by extended NFL Thanksgiving games and five Saturdays of NCAA football.
Looking ahead, McIntyre anticipates continued momentum:
“We expect mobile sports betting to keep growing as players embrace features like live betting and as DraftKings rolls out new innovations. We’re also excited about retail expansion, especially with the opening of The Nash Casino, which includes a stunning two-story DraftKings sportsbook.”
Responsible Gaming & Player Engagement
DraftKings remains the exclusive digital operator for sports betting in New Hampshire. Residents can place wagers via the DraftKings Sportsbook app (iOS, Android) or online at Sportsbook.DraftKings.com.
Both DraftKings and the New Hampshire Lottery prioritize responsible gaming. The DraftKings app includes tools such as:
- My Stats Sheet – lets users track and analyze their betting behavior
- Limit Setting – customizable deposit and wager limits
- Cooling-Off Periods & Self-Exclusion – for added player control
New Hampshire’s sports betting success story continues to evolve, blending strong public returns with cutting-edge digital engagement and a commitment to responsible play. With mobile and retail channels expanding, FY 2026 could set even higher records.
