BOSTON, MA – The Boston Fleet announced today that goaltender Aerin Frankel, defender Megan Keller, and forward Alina Müller have signed two-year contract extensions, securing their place with the team through the 2027–28 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) season.
All three players were already under contract for 2025–26 and were protected by the Fleet ahead of the PWHL Expansion Draft in June. Each has deep ties to Boston through their collegiate careers and now anchors the Fleet’s elite foundation.
“We’re thrilled to have Aerin, Megan, and Alina signed through 2028,” said Fleet General Manager Danielle Marmer. “These are world-class athletes at their respective positions and leaders on and off the ice. With Aerin in net, Megan on the blue line, and Alina driving our offense, we have a championship-caliber core. Their commitment to Boston speaks volumes, and our fans should be proud to call them ours.”
Aerin Frankel – Goaltender
Nicknamed the “Green Monster” by Fleet fans, Frankel has been Boston’s starting goaltender since the league’s inaugural season. In 2024–25, she posted:

“Every time I step on the ice, I’m reminded of how special it is to represent Boston,” said Frankel. “The fans, the organization, and my teammates make this place feel like home.”
A Patty Kazmaier Award winner at Northeastern University, Frankel has also earned five IIHF World Championship medals with Team USA, including gold in 2023 and 2025.
Megan Keller – Defender
A fixture on Boston’s blue line, Keller has never missed a game for the Fleet. In 2024–25, she recorded:
- 5 goals, 8 assists (13 points)

A two-time alternate captain and Defender of the Year finalist, Keller is known for her poise, physicality, and leadership.
“Boston has truly become home,” said Keller. “I’m grateful to continue building something special here and can’t wait to get back on the ice in front of our amazing fans.”
Keller is a U.S. Olympic gold medalist (2018) and six-time World Champion, and she starred at Boston College, where she was a three-time First Team All-American.
Alina Müller – Forward
The first international player ever drafted into the PWHL, Müller was selected third overall by Boston in 2023. In 2024–25, she tallied:
- 7 goals, 12 assists (19 points)
- League-leading 2 shorthanded goals
- Double-overtime playoff goal to force Game 5 in the Finals
“Boston has become home, both on and off the ice,” said Müller. “I’m honored to continue representing this city and this organization. I can’t wait to chase something special with this group.”
A three-time Olympian for Switzerland, Müller earned bronze in 2014 at age 15, becoming the youngest medalist in women’s hockey history. She’s a five-time Swiss Hockey Woman of the Year and Northeastern’s all-time leading scorer, where she captained the Huskies in her final season.
