Arlington, TX – The Texas Rangers today announced several roster moves ahead of the weekend series:

  • Infielder Justin Foscue has been recalled from Triple-A Round Rock, marking his second stint on the club’s active roster this season.
  • Infielder/Outfielder Michael Helman has been optioned back to Round Rock.
  • Additionally, infielder Jake Burger was placed on the 10-day Injured List, retroactive to July 13, with a left quad strain.

Foscue, 26, returns after appearing in three games with Texas earlier this season (June 21–July 4), where he went 1-for-6 with a double and 2 RBI, while handling all 7 defensive chances at first base over two starts. At Triple-A Round Rock, Foscue has been a consistent contributor, slashing .262/.353/.471 with 10 home runs, 13 doubles, and 37 RBI in 52 games. Since his July 5 option, he started two games at second base, going 1-for-9 with a walk and three runs scored against Albuquerque.

Helman, 29, posted a .214 average (3-for-14) in 14 career MLB games with Minnesota (2024) and Texas (2025). During his current stint with the Rangers, he appeared in five games, drawing two walks, recording two runs scored, and registering starts in centerfield with one appearance at shortstop.

Jake Burger, 29, joins the Injured List with a left quad strain sustained during the July 11 game at Houston, which led to an early exit in the sixth inning. He last played on July 12, appearing as a pinch-hitter. Burger has compiled a .228/.259/.401 slash line, with 11 homers and 35 RBI across 75 games this season.
