NEW YORK – New York City FC today announced that the club has reached a new loan agreement with Belgian Pro League side Oud-Heverlee Leuven for forward Jovan Mijatović. The loan will run through June 30, 2026.

Mijatović, 20, initially joined Oud-Heverlee Leuven on loan in January 2025. During his first stint with the Belgian club, the Serbian striker made seven appearances and scored one goal, showcasing his potential in top-flight European competition.

Since signing with New York City FC, Mijatović has made 17 appearances across all competitions, scoring once for the Boys in Blue. The loan move provides the young forward with continued opportunities for development and consistent playing time in a competitive European environment.
