Sheehan, 25, returns after missing the entire 2024 season and the first 74 games of 2025 while recovering from Tommy John surgery. During his rehab assignment with the ACL and Triple-A Oklahoma City, Sheehan recorded 21 strikeouts across 11.1 innings, allowing five runs. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the sixth round of the 2021 MLB Draft.

Sauer, 26, pitched last night and picked up his second win of the season, improving to 2-1 with a 6.18 ERA in nine appearances for the Dodgers. The right-hander debuted in the Major Leagues last season with the Kansas City Royals, posting a 7.71 ERA over 14 outings. Originally drafted by the New York Yankees in the second round of the 2017 MLB Draft, Sauer played high school baseball at Ernest Righetti High School in Santa Maria, Calif.
