Toronto Argonauts Sign Running Back Kevin Brown and Linebacker Aaron Casey

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club announced Tuesday the addition of American running back Kevin Brown and American linebacker Aaron Casey to their roster.

Brown, standing 5-foot-9 and weighing 205 pounds, initially joined the Argos in December 2024, but was released following 2025 training camp. The South Carolina native appeared in 12 games with Edmonton in 2024, rushing 101 times for 522 yards while adding 22 receptions for 138 yards.

A standout at Incarnate Word, Brown had his most productive CFL season in 2023, recording 1,141 rushing yards and four touchdowns, alongside 28 catches for 222 yards and one receiving touchdown. The 28-year-old played seven games for Edmonton in 2022, accumulating 486 rushing yards, one touchdown, and 176 receiving yards on 25 receptions. During his collegiate career (2019-2021), Brown excelled at Incarnate Word, amassing 2,451 rushing yards, 20 touchdowns, and 623 receiving yards. He earned First Team All-Southland Conference honors in his senior year.

Casey, measuring 6-foot-2 and 235 pounds, most recently spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals after joining the team as an undrafted free agent in 2024. The Georgia native played 57 games over five seasons at Indiana (2019-2023), compiling 244 tackles, 36 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, five forced fumbles, and one blocked kick. Casey capped off his collegiate career as a First Team All-Big Ten selection, recording 109 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles in his senior season, becoming the 12th linebacker in Hoosiers history to earn All-Big Ten honors.
