Dunning saw action in five games (one start) during Cactus League play this spring, going 1-1 with an 8.18 ERA (10 ER/11.0 IP) before being outrighted to the minors on March 25.

In 2024, Dunning appeared in 26 games (15 starts) for Texas across two stints (Opening Day-Aug. 30, Sept. 20-end of season), recording a 5-7 record, 5.31 ERA (56 ER/95.0 IP), and 91 strikeouts—the fourth-highest total by a Rangers pitcher last year. A two-time Rangers Pitcher of the Year (2021, 2023), Dunning has compiled a career 28-32 record with a 4.35 ERA in 124 MLB appearances (102 starts). He also holds franchise records at Globe Life Field for wins (18), innings pitched (277.0), and strikeouts (257).

Caleb Boushley

Boushley, 31, was optioned after appearing in three relief outings for Texas this season, posting a 5.87 ERA (5 ER/7.2 IP). Most recently, he pitched two scoreless innings against the San Francisco Giants on Sunday, allowing one hit batter (24 pitches/12 strikes). In six career MLB relief appearances with Milwaukee (2023), Minnesota (2024), and Texas (2025), Boushley has a 1-0 record with a 5.14 ERA (8 ER/14.0 IP), six walks, and 12 strikeouts.

Daniel Robert

Robert, 30, has pitched in 10 games for Triple-A Round Rock this season, recording a 1.54 ERA (2 ER/11.2 IP) with two saves. He debuted in the majors with Texas in 2024, posting a 1-0 record with a 3.18 ERA (2 ER/5.2 IP) across four relief appearances. Selected by the Rangers in the 21st round of the 2017 MLB Draft out of Auburn University, Robert is in his sixth professional season, all with Texas.

Walter Pennington

Pennington, 27, was acquired today by Baltimore via waiver claim after being designated for assignment by Texas on Wednesday.

With these moves, the Rangers’ Major League roster remains at the 40-man limit, along with three players (Cody Bradford, Jon Gray, Josh Sborz) on the 60-day Injured List.
