TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have announced the recall of forward Conor Geekie from their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch, as confirmed by vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois. In a corresponding move, the team has re-assigned forward Cam Atkinson to Syracuse.

Geekie’s Season Performance

Geekie, 20, has played 49 games with Tampa Bay this season, recording six goals and 12 points, including two game-winning tallies and 86 hits. The Strathclair, Manitoba native made his NHL debut on October 11 against Carolina, registering his first career point—an assist—on October 22 versus New Jersey. He later scored his first NHL goal on October 26 against Washington.

Strong AHL Production

During his time with Syracuse, Geekie has been a standout performer, appearing in 24 games and tallying 11 goals and 20 points, including two game-winning goals and eight power-play goals. Since March 1, he has been in top form, recording 10 goals and 17 points in his last 16 games, ranking second among all Syracuse skaters in scoring during that span.

Draft & Acquisition History

Originally selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the first round (11th overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft, Geekie was acquired by Tampa Bay via trade on June 29, 2024.
