CHICAGO – Prior to today’s game vs. Boston, the Chicago White Sox placed outfielder Austin Slater on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to April 11) with a right knee meniscus tear and recalled outfielder Greg Jones from Class AAA Charlotte.

Slater, who was scratched from the starting lineup last night, hitting .250 (5-20) with two doubles, one home run and one RBI over eight games this season, his first with the White Sox.

Jones, 27, has played nine games with Charlotte this season (.129, 4-9). He was with the White Sox from April 9-10, but did not appear in a game.
