Ganago (Cameroon) joins Alhassan Yusuf (Nigeria) on international duty for March FIFA World Cup qualifiers
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution forward/winger Ignatius Ganago has been called up to the Cameroon Men’s National Team for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches during the March international window.

Ganago, 26, is earning his first international call-up since 2023. The Indomitable Lions are scheduled to face Eswatini on Wednesday, March 19, at 12:00 p.m. ET at Mbombela Stadium in South Africa, followed by a match against Libya on Tuesday, March 25, at 3:00 p.m. ET at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé, Cameroon’s capital.
The forward has represented Cameroon 14 times at the senior level, with his last appearance coming in a friendly against Mexico in June 2023. For New England, Ganago has played all 90 minutes in each of his first three regular-season starts. Currently on loan from FC Nantes, the forward has amassed nearly 200 professional appearances, primarily in France’s Ligue 1.
Ganago, along with teammate Alhassan Yusuf, will depart for international duty following the Revolution’s away match against New York City FC on Saturday, March 15. That match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Yankee Stadium. Fans can catch the action on MLS Season Pass via the Apple TV app, with coverage available in English and Spanish.
