Athletics complete nine roster transactions

MESA, Ariz. — The Athletics optioned right-handed pitchers Elvis Alvarado, J.T. Ginn and Grant Holman, infielder Darell Hernaiz, and outfielder Esteury Ruiz to Triple-A Las Vegas, the club announced today. The A’s also reassigned four non-roster invitees to their minor league camp, including left-handed pitcher Matt Krook, catcher Willie MacIver and infielders Logan Davidson and Alejo Lopez.

The A’s now have 33 players in camp, which includes 31 players on the 40-man roster and two non-roster invitees. The breakdown includes 16 pitchers, two catchers, nine infielders and six outfielders.
