GLENDALE, Ariz. – Prior to today’s spring training game vs. the Cubs, the Chicago White Sox made the following five roster moves:
- Optioned to Class AA Birmingham (1): RHP Juan Carela;
- Reassigned to minor-league camp (4): INF Jacob Gonzalez, C Adam Hackenberg and OFs Braden Montgomery and Wilfred Veras.
With the moves, the White Sox have 61 players remaining in camp: 30 pitchers, five catchers, 17 infielders and nine outfielders.
