The Orlando Magic are eager to end their current slide as they prepare to host the San Antonio Spurs, featuring newcomers Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox, on Saturday.

Magic’s Situation:
The Magic have lost 10 of their last 12 games, including five of six on their recent road trip, which concluded with a 112-90 defeat to the Denver Nuggets on Thursday. Despite the tough stretch, Orlando will look to turn things around as they begin a stretch of 10 home games in their next 11 contests.
Spurs’ Situation:
The Spurs have also struggled, losing eight of their past 11 games. They are coming off a 117-116 road loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night, which was Fox’s second game with the team since arriving from the Sacramento Kings in a three-team trade earlier in the week. Fox impressed by scoring 22 points and dishing out six assists against the Hornets, following a debut performance of 24 points and 13 assists in a 126-125 win over the Atlanta Hawks.
Key Players:
- Spurs: Victor Wembanyama leads San Antonio in scoring (24.4 points per game) and rebounding (10.9). He has also been a defensive force, averaging 3.88 blocks per game, which, if maintained, would be the highest since Alonzo Mourning’s 3.91 average during the 1998-99 season.
- Magic: Franz Wagner has been the driving force for Orlando, averaging team highs of 24.8 points and 5.1 assists per game, along with 5.4 rebounds. Paolo Banchero has also been a key contributor, averaging 22.3 points and 7.2 rebounds in his 19 games. Additionally, Goga Bitadze is having a breakout season, leading the team with 8.1 rebounds per game and adding 9.1 points per game, both career highs.
