New York City FC Midfielder Nicolás Acevedo Joins Esporte Clube Bahia on Permanent Transfer

NEW YORK, N.Y. – New York City FC announced today the permanent transfer of midfielder Nicolás Acevedo to Brazilian side Esporte Clube Bahia for an undisclosed fee. Additionally, New York City FC will receive a percentage of any future transfer fees should Acevedo be sold again.

Acevedo initially joined Bahia on loan in 2023, featuring in 61 matches and tallying two assists. After recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee at the end of 2023, Acevedo made his comeback this season with seven appearances for the club.

During his time with New York City FC, the Uruguayan midfielder played in 67 games and helped the team win both the MLS Cup and Campeones Cup.
