Two teams headed in opposite directions clash on Saturday afternoon in Salt Lake City when the Utah Jazz host the New York Knicks.
The Jazz enter the game on a four-game losing streak, most recently squandering a significant lead against San Antonio on Thursday.
They began the weekend at the bottom of the Western Conference with just three wins this season.
In contrast, the Knicks bring a four-game winning streak to Utah, having started a five-game road trip with a win over Phoenix on Wednesday night.
In their victory at Phoenix, Jalen Brunson scored 23 points in the first half, while Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 23 points in the second half.
Brunson finished the game with 36 points and 10 assists, shooting 12 of 21 from the field, including 7 of 11 from beyond the arc.
Towns added 34 points on 12-of-19 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds, helping the Knicks continue their winning streak following two victories over Brooklyn and one against Washington.
The Jazz fell apart on Thursday night after holding a 20-point first-half lead against San Antonio. Lauri Markkanen scored 27 points, and Keyonte George added 19 against the Spurs, who were missing injured star center Victor Wembanyama.
In the second half, however, Utah gave up 75 points and was outscored by 12 points in both the third and fourth quarters.
Reserve Brice Sensabaugh was a bright spot for Utah in the first half, scoring 13 of his 18 points.
Off to a rough start, the Jazz are seeking more consistency. Their uneven play was evident against the Spurs and has been an issue at home, where they have a 1-5 record at the Delta Center, usually a tough venue for opponents.
