It’s still uncertain if Boston forward Jaylen Brown will suit up when the Celtics host the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night.  Brown has missed the last two games due to a hip flexor strain. After Boston’s 123-93 win over Atlanta on Monday, coach Joe Mazzulla described Brown as “day to day.”

So far this season, Brown is averaging 25.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Despite missing 14 games since the beginning of the 2023-24 season, Boston has won all 14.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics’ offense against the Hawks, scoring 28 points—26 of which came in the first half. Tatum has been the leading scorer in six of Boston’s eight games this season.

Stephen Curry returned to Golden State’s lineup for Monday’s 125-112 victory over Washington, after missing three games due to an ankle injury. He scored 24 points and had six assists, helping extend the Warriors’ winning streak to four games.

The Warriors have won six of their first seven games, marking their best start to a season since the 2021-22 season when they won 11 of their first 12 games. Monday’s win over Washington also improved Golden State’s road record to 4-0.

Wednesday’s game will also see a reunion between Jayson Tatum and Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who benched Tatum for multiple games during the Paris Olympics.
