This will be the first all-time conference contest for the Trojans. Anderson has opened the campaign with a 2-0 mark but see the competition step forward as they take on Limestone who has gone to back-to-back NCAA Playoff appearances. The Saints are 1-1 on the season and are coming off a tough loss at West Alabama last week. Limestone boasts the top passer in the league in Dustin Noller who averages 292.0 yards per game.

Barton at Emory & Henry – 1 pm

The Wasp defense has is second to only Wingate in points per game allowed at 10.0. Barton averages 24 points per game on offense and has been versatile. They passed for 310 yards in the season opener and then ran for 218 at Chowan last week.

Wingate at Carson-Newman – 1 pm

C-N will be hosting a reunion of Football Team Champions while attempting to prove that this year’s version of the team may add some hardware to the crowded trophy case. Carson-Newman has started 2-0 for the first time since 2019 and has looked like one of the more dominant teams in the Mountain Division. They face Wingate, who enters nationally ranked in both the AFCA and D2Football polls and own one of the top defenses in the nation. The Bulldogs have allowed just 124 yards rushing per game while C-N has tallied a league-best 364.5 yards on the ground per game.

Lenoir-Rhyne at Mars Hill – 1 pm

LR has defeated back-to-back tough non-conference opponents in Bowie St. and Tiffin to move up to No. 6 in the AFCA national poll. Against Tiffin, LR’s defense forced turnovers on back-to-back plays in the first half with one being a 68 yard pick six. LR will face a rested Mars Hill squad who hasn’t had a game since falling to Delta St. on August 29. The Bears will need to slow Jon Gullette who had 96 total yards on 16 touches against the Statesmen who are one of the best teams in the region.

Newberry at Tusculum – 1 pm

Each team will be in search of win number one on the young season. Tusculum is coming off a bye after dropping a season-opening loss at West Alabama on Sept. 7. Newberry has dropped back-to-back games to reigning NAIA National Champion Keiser and regional power Valdosta St. This will be the first road test of the season for the Wolves.

Catawba at UVA Wise – 2 pm

UVA Wise head coach Gary Bass played at Catawba and will be facing his alma mater for the first time as the Cavaliers head coach. Wise has been on both ends of shuouts this year, dropping a 61-0 affair at East Tennessee St. but bouncing back to blank Concord 28-0 last week. Catawba’s Preston Brown is the reigning SAC Player of the Week as he went 24-of-29 for 292 yards and four touchdowns to lift the Catawba Indians past Shaw last weekend.
