Club Places Left-Handed Pitcher Brennan Bernardino on 15-Day Injured List

BOSTON, MA – The Boston Red Sox today reinstated left-handed pitcher Cam Booser from the 15-Day Injured List. In addition, the club placed left-handed pitcher Brennan Bernardino on the 15-Day Injured List with left elbow inflammation.

Booser, 32, was placed on the Injured List on August 14 with left elbow inflammation. The left-hander owns a 3.00 ERA (14 ER/42.0 IP) with 42 strikeouts in 41 games with Boston this season, his Major League debut. Signed by the Red Sox as a minor league free agent in February 2023, the Washington native pitched in two rehab games, one with Worcester and one with Double-A Portland, tossing 1.0 scoreless inning in each.

Bernardino, 32, pitched in last night’s game against the Baltimore Orioles. The left-hander owns a 4.06 ERA (23 ER/51.0 IP) in 57 games (three starts) for Boston this season. Originally selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 26th round of the 2014 First-Year Player Draft, the California native has recorded a 3.63 ERA (42 ER/104.0 IP) in 114 career games (nine starts) with the Seattle Mariners (2022) and Red Sox (2023-24).
