The Pittsburgh Pirates today placed right-handed pitcher Hunter Stratton on the 60-day injured list with a rupture of his left patella tendon.
The team has selected the contract of left-handed pitcher Brady Feigl (pronounced FIE-gul) from Triple-A Indianapolis.
The 33-year-old Feigl went 7-2 with two saves, a 3.83 ERA (51.2ip/22er) and 62 strikeouts in 33 appearances (one start) with Triple-A Indianapolis this season.
Feigl, who has no previous big-league experience, will wear uniform No. 52.
