Los Angeles Dodgers recall Justin Wrobleski

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski and placed right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow on the injured list with right elbow tendinitis.

Wrobleski, 24, rejoins the team and will make the start for the Dodgers this evening. He has made four starts for the Dodgers this season, allowing nine earned runs in 20.0 innings. He started the season with Double-A Tulsa, making 13 starts and going 5-2 with a 3.06 ERA. With Triple-A Oklahoma City, he is 0-2 with a 5.23 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 20.2 innings. In three minor league seasons with the Dodgers, he is 10-11 with a 3.28 ERA in 55 games (50 starts) and 224 strikeouts in 212.1 innings. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the 11th round of the 2021 First Year Player Draft out of Oklahoma State University.

Glasnow, 31, heads to the injured list for the second time this season. He is 9-6 with a 3.49 ERA in 22 starts this season. He has a career-high 168 strikeouts in 134 innings and has held hitters to a .190 batting average against this year. He was selected to his first career All-Star team after making 18 starts in the first half for the Dodgers, going 8-5 with a 3.47 ERA and 143 strikeouts in 109 innings. The Southern California native is in his ninth Major League season and is 39-33 with a 3.81 ERA and 846 strikeouts in 663.2 innings.
