Ksa reprimands 13 online gambling providers for obstructing payouts to players

A number of providers with a license for online gambling apply unauthorized conditions for paying out player credits. This is evident from research by the Dutch Gaming Authority (Ksa). The Ksa has summoned nine providers to stop doing this. There are also four providers with a license that are suspected of applying these types of conditions. These providers have heard from the Ksa that this is not permitted and must confirm in writing that they will not do this or will stop doing so.

Obligations when paying out player credits
If a player requests this, his player credit must be immediately refunded by the provider. A provider may not impose structural conditions that prevent direct payment. Player credits must therefore be refunded without unnecessary delay. Nevertheless, the Ksa receives signals that providers of online gambling do impose conditions on the payment of player credits.

Following signals, the Ksa informed providers in March about the obligations and exceptions regarding the direct payout of player credits . The Ksa named examples of conditions that a provider may not use, such as minimum amounts and wagering requirements before the provider pays back.

Research
However, signals continued to come in that providers were not complying with the rules. The Ksa investigated this. Following this investigation, it summoned 9 providers to stop using unauthorized conditions. There are also 4 providers that received a warning. The Ksa did receive signals about these providers, but their regulations do not state that they use unauthorized conditions. All 13 providers must confirm in writing that they do not use minimum amounts or wagering requirements.
