The Pittsburgh Pirates today placed right-handed pitcher Colin Holderman on the 15-day injured list with right-wrist sprain.

Right-handed pitcher Ben Heller had his contract selected from Triple-A Indianapolis.

Outfielder Edward Olivares has been designated for assignment to make room for Heller on the 40-man roster.

This is Heller’s second stint with the Pirates this season (also June 4-10).

Prior to being promoted back to the big leagues, Heller went 1-2 with four saves and a 1.33 ERA (20.1ip/3er) in his final 21 appearances with Indianapolis. He also made 15 straight appearances from May 21 to July 19 (15.1ip) with Indianapolis.

Heller will uniform No. 61.

In addition, outfielder Joshua Palacios and right-handed pitcher Jared Jones will each begin a rehab assignment tonight with Indianapolis.
