MLB Network to air more than 12 straight hours of trade deadline coverage

With a flurry of activity already underway, MLB Network has lined up 12.5 straight hours of live Trade Deadline coverage for tomorrow, July 30, beginning at 9 a.m. ET. Six different studio programs will cover the day’s action, with insiders Russell DorseyMark FeinsandJon HeymanJon Morosi and Joel Sherman providing the latest news and information. As the deadline is set for 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, MLB Network will be ready to cover every transaction as it happens with the following lineup:

  • 9 a.m. ET, MLB Central presented by Hyundai – Robert Flores, Mark DeRosa, Lauren Shehadi and Al Leiter
  • 11 a.m. ET, High Heat presented by Advil – Christopher Russo and Alanna Rizzo
  • 12 p.m. ET, MLB Now – Brian Kenny, Steve Phillips and Jayson Stark
  • 1 p.m. ET, MLB Tonight – Adnan Virk, Jake Peavy and Dan Plesac
  • 4 p.m. ET, MLB Tonight – Matt Vasgersian, Dan O’Dowd, Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci
  • 7:30 p.m. ET, MLB Tonight – Taylor McGregor, Russell Dorsey and Anthony Recker

Club correspondents will be ready at a moment’s notice, with instant reaction, analysis and interviews featured across the day. MLB Network will also provide breaking news coverage and analysis across all of its social media platforms. Following MLB Tonight, the NL West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers will visit the San Diego Padres at 9:30 p.m. ET, followed by a new episode of Quick Pitch with Abby Labar, MLB Network’s daily signature recap show of record. Leading up to tomorrow’s Trade Deadline, Matt Vasgersian (play-by-play), Tom Verducci (analyst) and Jon Morosi (reporter) will call tonight’s Casamigos MLB Network Showcase telecast between the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Yankees at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Covering its 16th Trade Deadline in 2024, MLB Network’s coverage has seen some blockbuster trades over the years, including Juan Soto being traded from the Nationals to Padres (2022), Max Scherzer and Trea Turner going from the Nationals to the Dodgers (2021), Aroldis Chapman landing with the Cubs from the Yankees (2016), Jon Lester being traded from the Red Sox to the Athletics for Yoenis Cespedes (2014) and Cliff Lee moving from Cleveland to the Phillies (2009).

As announced last Wednesday, MLB Network is now offering its Emmy Award-winning network directly to consumers in the United States. Fans can purchase MLB Network as a standalone offering for $5.99/per month or part of an “MLB Network + At Bat” subscription for $6.99/per month. Fans who receive MLB Network from a participating pay TV partner can continue to watch via an authenticated stream.
