Jair Camargo optioned to Triple-A St. Paul

DETROIT, MI – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned infielder Royce Lewis from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 10-day Injured List.

Lewis, who missed the club’s last 16 games with a right adductor strain, played in two games on rehab assignment this week with Triple-A St. Paul, going 1-for-6 with one double and one walk. Prior to landing on the IL, Lewis hit .292 (26-for-89) with five doubles, 10 home runs, 18 RBI, 18 runs scored, nine walks, a .354 on-base percentage, a .685 slugging percentage and a 1.039 OPS.

To make room for Lewis on the 26-man roster, the Twins optioned catcher Jair Camargo to St. Paul after Wednesday’s game against Philadelphia. Camargo appeared in two games during his most recent stint with the Twins, going 0-for-2.
