The Colorado Rockies announced the following moves today:

  •  Selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Tanner Gordon (#29) from Triple-A Albuquerque.
  •  Designated right-handed pitcher Dakota Hudson for assignment.

The Rockies’ 40-man roster is at 39.

Gordon, 26, was acquired via trade with Atlanta, along with RHP Victor Vodnik, in exchange for RHP Pierce Johnson on July 24, 2023 … began the 2024 season on the injured list with right elbow inflammation … appeared in two rehab games with the ACL Rockies before moving to Triple-A Albuquerque at the end of May … went 2-3 with a 4.32 ERA (25.0 IP, 12 ER) through his last five Triple-A starts, and 2-1 with a 3.07 ERA (14.2 IP, 5 ER) through his last three starts … in 2023, joined Double-A Hartford for four starts following the trade before being promoted to Albuquerque where he went 1-1 with a 4.31 ERA (31.1 IP, 15 ER) in six starts … overall on the season, went 8-12 record in 27 games (26 starts) and a career-high 140.0 innings pitched … is 30-31 with a 4.63 ERA (433.1 IP, 223 ER) with 445 strikeouts in his Minor League career spanning 96 games (81 starts) … selected by the Braves in the sixth round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft out of Indiana University.
