LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled left-handed pitcher Nick Ramirez and optioned right-handed pitcher Michael Petersen.

Ramirez, 34, returns to the Dodgers after making six appearances and posting a 3.86 ERA in his previous stints with the club. With Triple-A Oklahoma City, he was 2-0 with a 2.45 ERA in 15 games (two starts). The southpaw has been in the Majors parts of five seasons with Detroit (2019-20), San Diego (2021), New York-AL (2023) and Los Angeles (2024) and he is combined 7-7 with a 4.03 ERA in 102 career games. He was acquired by the Dodgers on April 2 from the Yankees for cash considerations.

Petersen, 31, pitched last night, allowing four runs on four hits in 2.0 innings. He made six appearances with the Dodgers, going 2-0 with a 4.66 ERA in 9.1 innings. He has appeared in 23 games for the Oklahoma City with a perfect 2-0 record and a 1.61 ERA. He pitched in the minor leagues for eight seasons, tossing 263 innings in 167 games (18 starts) with a 10-11 record and 4.04 ERA before being selected for the first time on June 16. He was originally drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 17th round of the 2015 First Year Player Draft out of Riverside Community College.
