LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers activated right-handed pitcher Bobby Miller from the injured list and placed right-handed pitcher Walker Buehler on the injured list with a right hip inflammation.
Miller, 25, missed 61 games with right shoulder inflammation. He made four combined rehab starts with High-A Rancho Cucamonga and Triple-A Oklahoma City, going 0-2 with a 7.80 ERA and 10 strikeouts in 15 innings. His last two starts were with Triple-A, tossing 4.0+ innings in both starts and allowing six combined runs. On the season with the big club, he is 1-1 record with a 5.40 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 11.2 innings. He is in his second season with the Dodgers, and he is a combined 12-5 with a 3.90 ERA with 137 strikeouts in 136.0 innings in 25 Major League starts. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the first round (29th overall) of the 2020 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Louisville.
Buehler, 29, pitched last night against the Rockies, allowing seven runs in four innings. He has made eight starts this season, going 1-4 with a 5.84 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 37.0 innings. In seven seasons with the Dodgers, the two-time All-Star is 47-20 with a 3.17 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP. He has 721 strikeouts against 172 walks in 675.1 innings. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the first round (24th overall) of the 2015 First Year Player Draft out of Vanderbilt University.
