LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers activated right-handed pitcher Blake Treinen from the injured list and placed right-handed pitcher Evan Phillips on the injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Treinen, 35, joins the Dodgers’ active roster for the first time since 2022. He made five rehab appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City, allowing five runs in 4.1 innings. He turned in back-to-back clean sheets on May 1st and 2nd. He has been with Los Angeles three seasons, posting a 2.45 ERA with eight saves and 113 strikeouts in 103.0 innings. He has been in the Major Leagues since 2014, and with Washington (2014-17), Oakland (2017-19) and Los Angeles (2020-22) has gone a combined 36-31 with a 2.86 ERA and 79 career saves. The right-hander was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the seventh round of the 2011 First Year Player Draft.

Phillips, 29, will head to the injured list for the first time in his Dodger career. On the season, he was 8-for-8 in save chances with a 0.66 ERA. In three seasons with Los Angeles, he is 10-8 with a 1.64 ERA and 34 saves in 147 games. He is in his seventh season in the Major Leagues with Atlanta (2018), Baltimore (2018-2020), Tampa Bay (2021) and Los Angeles (2021-24) and he is a combined 11-11 with a 3.20 ERA in 196 games (one start). He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 17th round of the 2015 First Year Player Draft.
