Dodgers select Nabil Crismatt

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Nabil Crismatt and optioned left-handed pitcher Nick Ramirez. In order to make room for Crismatt on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers have transferred right-handed pitcher Kyle Hurt to the 60-day injured list.

Crismatt, 29, returns for his second stint with the Dodgers after firing two scoreless innings on March 30. The right-hander recorded the win and was designated for assignment the nest day. He was 1-0 with Triple-A Oklahoma City and recorded a 5.68 ERA. In his Major League career, he is a combined 9-5 with 3.72 ERA in 172 innings across five Major League seasons with St. Louis (2020), San Diego (2021-23), Arizona (2023) and Los Angeles (2024). He had his best season in 2022 with the Padres, posting a 2.94 ERA with a career-high five wins and 65 strikeouts in 67.1 innings. He signed with the Dodgers on December 12, 2023.

Ramirez, 34, tossed 2.0 innings, allowing one run on three hits last night. In five games with the Dodgers, he has allowed one run in 7.0 innings with two strikeouts. The Southern California native has been in the Major Leagues parts of four seasons with Detroit (2019-20), San Diego (2021), New York-AL (2023) and Los Angeles-NL (2024), going a combined 7-7 with a 3.92 ERA in 101 games. He was originally a fourth-round selection in the 2011 First Year Player Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers out of Cal State Fullerton.
