Anderson will be available for tonight’s game against Seattle

Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers today announced the following roster moves prior to Wednesday night’s game against the Seattle Mariners at Globe Life Field:

  • Right-handed pitcher Austin Pruitt placed on 15-day Injured List with a right knee medial meniscus injury, retroactive to April 21.
  • Right-handed pitcher Grant Anderson recalled from Round Rock (AAA).

Pruitt, 34, has posted no record and a 12.46 ERA (6 ER/4.1 IP) over 4 relief appearances for Texas this season. The right-hander most recently appeared on Saturday at Atlanta, allowing 2 earned runs on 3 hits with one walk and one home run in an inning of work.

Anderson, 26, will mark his second stint with the Rangers this season after recording an 18.00 ERA (4 ER/2.0 IP) in 3 relief appearances for Texas from April 7-17. The right-hander has gone 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA (1 ER/3.2 IP) in 4 relief outings for Triple-A Round Rock in 2024, tossing 0.2 scoreless frames in his most recent appearance on Sunday at Sugar Land.
