TONIGHT’S GAME
The Capitals host the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday at Capital One Arena for the second of four meetings between the teams this season. The Capitals defeated the Hurricanes 2-1 in the shootout on Dec. 17 in Raleigh, led by a 28-save performance by Darcy Kuemper. Washington is 104-58-14-10 all-time versus the Carolina/Hartford franchise and 10-4-2 in their last 16 games against the Hurricanes dating back to the 2018-19 season.
