Ewers (offensive) and Stutsman (defensive) were also named Big 12 Players of the Week along with UT wide receiver Adonai Mitchell (newcomer) and UCF kicker Colton Boomer (special teams).

Texas was named the Cheez-It National Team of the Week for the sixth time since the award was established in 2002.

Baylor QB Sawyer Robertson threw for a career-high 218 yards and rushed five times for 19 yards and his first career TD against No. 13 Utah.

BYU held Southern Utah to three points in the first half, the first time since 2012 that BYU’s defense opened the first six quarters of a season without allowing a touchdown (Washington State, Weber State).

Colton Boomer set a career best with a 50-yard field goal only to surpass it later in the game with a 55-yarder to tie the UCF program record. The sophomore finished the game a perfect 4-for-4 including a 40-yard game-winning field goal as time expired.

Cincinnati RB Corey Kiner finished with a career-high 153 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown against Pittsburgh. Kiner ripped off a career-long 68-yard rush in the first quarter. It marked the longest play from scrimmage this season and the second straight week that he has set a career-long rush after a 54-yard rush vs. EKU last week.

K-State’s defense has allowed a total of 13 points over the first two games of the 2023 season, the second straight year the Cats have held their first two opponents to 13 points or less (2022: 0 vs. South Dakota, 12 vs. Missouri).

OSU held Arizona State to 1-for-5 on fourth down, the most fourth-down stops by the Cowboys in a game since Oct. 13, 2012, when they held Kansas to 0-for-5.

A block by Trent Battle and a 24-yard return by Blake Nowell gave TCU its first blocked punt for a touchdown since Antonio Graves against New Mexico in 2011.

Texas secured its first non-conference road victory over an AP Top-3 opponent in program history and the first victory on the road against any top-three team since 1969 to snap a 21-game home winning streak for Alabama, and a 57-game home non-conference streak.

Texas Tech had seven explosive plays (20-yard gains or more) against No. 13 Oregon. The Red Raiders logged a season-high seven twice in 2022 versus FBS opponents.

West Virginia WR Hudson Clement joined Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey as the only Mountaineers to reach 175 receiving yards and catch three TDs in one game.
