Nevada women’s basketball eyes their first win of the season on Sunday, taking on Stanislaus State at 1 p.m. at the Lawlor Events Center.

Larry Burnett will have the call on 94.1 FM and 1450 AM, with a 20 minute pregame show prior to tipoff. Fans can also listen live online through the Varsity Network. The game will be available to watch on Mountain West Network and live stats can be accessed through Sidearm.

Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance online. Youth tickets start at just $5 while adult general admission start at $10 online. Tickets can be purchased at the Lawlor Events Center on Sunday for $12.

Sunday’s game will be youth day, where all youth players will receive recognition. The game will be followed by a free postgame clinic for eighth grade and under students along with autographs from the team.

Nevada was defeated by Pacific 76-71 in its home opener on Sunday afternoon at the Lawlor Events Center. Graduate student Megan Ormiston led Nevada with a season-high 12 points while junior guard Victoria Davis came up with 11 points and a career-high six steals.

This year’s Nevada women’s basketball team ranks 12th in the nation and first in the Mountain West in steals per game with a 15.5 mark. Redshirt junior Alyssa Jimenez is three steals away from becoming the seventh player since 2013 to record 100 career steals. She would be the fastest player since 2013 to reach that mark.

Freshman forward Kennedy Lee has proven she can make an immediate impact, averaging 10. 5 points per game. Lee scored 12 points at Saint Mary’s, the first freshman under Levens to score in double figures in a season opener.

The Pack will face Stanislaus State for the first time in a regular season game since 2019. Stanislaus State won 12 games last year and returns three of its top four leading scorers from the 2021-22 season.

Da’Miyah Lewis averaged 12.8 points per game in 19 games while Liliana Marques averaged 12.6 points per game in all 21 games she started in. Taylor Pilot added in 10.7 points per game in 17 games last season.
