The Toronto Blue Jays have claimed RHP Matt Peacock off waivers from the Kansas City Royals. To make room on the 40-man roster, RHP Shaun Anderson has been designated for assignment.
Peacock, 28, appeared in seven games for the Royals this season and two with the Arizona Diamondbacks, holding a 5.40 ERA. The 6-1, 185 lb. righty was drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 23rd round in 2017 and made his Major League debut with them in 2021. He has played in 44 games over his two Major League seasons, throwing 96.1 innings with 56 strikeouts, a 4.95 ERA, and 1.57 WHIP.
