Duncan-Busby and Harris also named to week’s best

TORONTO – Tyrice Beverette, Dhel Duncan-Busby and Trevor Harris have been named OK Tire Labour Day Weekend Players of the Week in the Canadian Football League (CFL). The honour spotlights exceptional statistical performances, pivotal plays, game-breaking feats and more.

The three players were chosen by a panel composed of representatives from the CFL’s Football Operations, Player and Game Statistics, and Content departments.

  1. TYRICE BEVERETTE | LB | MONTREAL ALOUETTES | MTL 37 – BC 30
    • 57-yard pick-six in the third quarter to extend Montreal’s lead to 26-19
    • First career touchdown
    • Second interception of the season and ninth of career
    • Seven total tackles (six defensive, one special teams)
  2. DHEL DUNCAN-BUSBY | REC | SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS | SSK 32 – WPG 26 (OT)
    • 10 receptions for a career-high 148 yards; first career 100-yard+ game
    • Six receptions for 104 yards in the fourth quarter and overtime
    • Averaged 14.8 yards per reception
    • Three second-down conversion receptions
  3. TREVOR HARRIS | QB | SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS | SSK 32 – WPG 26 (OT)
    • 23-of-33 passing (69.7 per cent) with zero interceptions
    • 362 passing yards; moved into 10th all-time in league history (41,590)
    • One touchdown pass, a seven-yard effort to Quali Conley in the second quarter
    • Three completions of 30+ yards, highlighted by a 72-yard strike to Daniel Wiebe in the second quarter
    • Efficiency rating of 116.0
