Franklin, 26, has been a steady performer at Triple‑A Rochester this season, batting .249/.375/.360 with 17 doubles, two triples, six home runs, 57 runs, 39 RBI, and 65 walks across 93 games. His combination of plate discipline and speed has made him one of Rochester’s most reliable everyday players, and his 17 stolen bases underscore his athleticism.
Originally drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the fourth round in 2021 out of the University of Arkansas, Franklin joined the Nationals organization in July 2025 as part of the trade that sent right‑hander Michael Soroka to Chicago. The Overland Park, Kan., native has not yet reported to Baltimore.
