Doval Brings All‑Star Pedigree and Elite Road Performance
Doval, 29, has been a key contributor in the Yankees’ bullpen this season, posting a 3–1 record with 39 strikeouts across 44 appearances and 39.2 innings. He joined New York at last year’s trade deadline after four standout seasons with the San Francisco Giants.
In 2025, Doval recorded a combined 4–3 mark, 16 saves, and a 3.58 ERA over 69 games split between San Francisco and New York. His road performance this season has been exceptional: a 1.86 ERA, 17 strikeouts, a .159 opponents’ average, and a 0.98 WHIP across 24 road outings.
Doval earned 39 saves during an All‑Star campaign with the Giants in 2023, tying for the National League lead. From 2021–25, he compiled a 26–18 record, 107 saves, and a 3.29 ERA with 332 strikeouts in 275 games, becoming the first Giants pitcher since Brian Wilson to record at least 23 saves in three consecutive seasons.
One of the league’s most durable relievers, Doval is among only eight pitchers to make 60 or more appearances in each of the last four seasons (2022–25). He owns a 2.57 ERA and 0.71 WHIP in six career postseason games with San Francisco and New York.
