RALEIGH, N.C. – North Carolina’s sports wagering market produced more than $54 million in gross wagering revenue in June 2026, according to figures released by the North Carolina State Lottery Commission. The monthly report reflects activity submitted by the state’s licensed interactive sports betting operators.

From June 1–30, North Carolina bettors placed $589.6 million in wagers across sporting events, a total that includes both paid bets and promotional credits. Players won $530.3 million during the month.

Under state law, North Carolina imposes an 18% tax on gross wagering revenue — defined as the amount operators receive from wagers minus payouts to players, before accounting for expenses or fees. With June’s gross revenue reaching $54,140,105, the projected tax intake for the month is $9,745,219. That amount is expected to be collected by the N.C. Department of Revenue.

The commission releases sports wagering revenue reports monthly as part of the state’s regulatory oversight of the industry.
