LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers have selected the contract of catcher Eliezer Alfonzo and optioned catcher Chuckie Robinson.

Alfonzo, 26, was batting .313 with one homer and 17 RBI with Triple-A Oklahoma City. This will be his first Major League assignment after spending the last nine seasons in the minor leagues. He has appeared in 581 minor league games, batting .283 with 32 homers and 283 RBI. He signed with the Dodgers as a minor league free agent on November 17, 2025.

Robinson, 31, played in eight games for the Dodgers, recording two hits and one RBI. He has been in the Majors parts of four seasons with the Cincinnati Reds (2022), Chicago White Sox (2024) and Dodgers (2025-26), batting .124 with two homers and six RBI. With Triple-A Oklahoma City this season, he is hitting .260 with two homers and 18 RBI. He was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 2016 First Year Player Draft in the 21st round out of the University of Southern Mississippi.
