Caesars Digital has opened pre‑registration in Alberta for three online gaming platforms, positioning the company for the province’s upcoming regulated iGaming market, expected to launch later this spring or summer.

Residents 21 and older can now sign up for Caesars Palace Online Casino, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, and Horseshoe Online Casino. The company is marketing the rollout under the “Hat Trick” tagline, a nod to Alberta’s strong hockey culture.

Three‑Platform Strategy

Caesars plans to enter the market with a broad offering:

  • Caesars Palace Online Casino – featuring slot titles, table games, and live dealer options
  • Horseshoe Online Casino – leveraging the brand’s traditional casino identity
  • Caesars Sportsbook & Casino – combining sports wagering with casino gaming

Apps are available for download now, with Alberta becoming selectable once the market officially opens.

Caesars joins a growing list of operators preparing for launch, including theScore, PointsBet Canada, DraftKings, Rush Street Interactive (BetRivers), Soft2Bet, Bet99, and BetMGM. Many have already opened pre‑registration portals for Albertans seeking updates and promotional offers.

Market Expected to Exceed $700 Million

“Opening pre‑registration is an important first step that allows players to prepare for launch while we finalize our plans to bring our full trifecta of platforms online in Alberta,” said Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital. He added that the company welcomes the province’s progress toward a regulated market.

Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) will regulate the new market, with the Alberta iGaming Corporation operating in a conduct‑and‑manage capacity. Industry projections estimate the province’s iGaming sector could surpass $700 million in annual revenue at maturity.

Track Record in Ontario

Caesars was among the first operators to go live in Ontario when that market opened on April 4, 2022. Both Horseshoe Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino remain licensed and active in the province.

With Alberta preparing to open its doors to private operators for the first time, Caesars is positioning itself to secure early market share in what is expected to become Canada’s second major regulated iGaming jurisdiction.
