MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers today announced the acquisition of infielder/outfielder Jett Williams and right‑handed pitcher Brandon Sproat from the New York Mets in exchange for right‑handed pitchers Freddy Peralta and Tobias Myers, President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Matt Arnold announced.

Jett and Brandon are two of the most exciting young talents in the game,” Arnold said. “We’re adding a dynamic athlete and a high‑ceiling arm who we believe can impact our Major League club for years to come.”

Arnold continued, “Moves like this are never easy. Freddy has been a beloved member of the Brewers family, someone who made a tremendous impact on the field and in our community. We watched him grow from a 19‑year‑old prospect into an All‑Star. We also want to acknowledge Tobias, whose perseverance and development turned him into a key contributor over the last two seasons. We wish both players and their families nothing but the best.”
